So I want to tell people that the way that they care about animals is already good. But these are some stories from people who care about animals that you might be able to learn from. Animal advocacy websites are way too complicated. And I'll look at a homepage and it takes me ten minutes to scroll through it and read all the stuff. And that's not to consider all the other pages that they have to get through and all the reasons that they're told they have to care about animals. And I don't think it matters why you care about animals. It doesn't have to be for the environment, or because it's wrong to kill them, or because of your health, or any of these things. I don't think it matters. If you like the animal that's sitting next to you on the couch, well that's a good start.

I hear it a lot and they say that being vegan is the moral baseline, that's the absolute minimum that you should do is be vegan. But then that means everybody's failing. Whereas if we said to them, where you are right now is your moral baseline, fine. That's where you start. Just be a little bit better tomorrow.

We tell people that if you eat animals, you don't like them. And I don't think that's true because I know plenty of people who like animals and they eat them. There's plenty of people who like animals and they experiment on them or they look after animals in a zoo. I still think they like animals. So I don't think it's as simple as if you eat animals you don't like them, or if you experiment on animals you don't like them.

I'm going to invite on any guests who have stories or advice that will be able to help people to think of animals a bit differently or to be able to improve the way that they see or treat animals.
